Regarding GROOM family from Kings County, Ireland, I have some info, including an 1841 census of Patrick GROOM (b. 1801) and Margaret COYNE (b. 1814), married in 1834. Members emigrated around 1850 to Brooklyn, NY, including Patrick (b. 1842). Also have Heritage Center info on this family. They resided in Townland of Knockdrin. Connection to your GROOM is unclear but likely.

Re: Catherine CONLEY - Could she have been born in August 1850, Morris County, NJ? If so, she had a twin sister Ellen, my g-g-grandmother. Her parents were James CONLEY (1825, Ireland - 1886, NJ) and Eliza KELLY (1825, Ireland - 1885, NJ), who were miners.

I have considerable info and questions. Let's compare notes.
