Mary,on rootsireland.ie they have the following baptism records for Thomas Heavey and Maria Gavin;

Thomas Heavey:
co Longford 1809,1811,1821
co Cork 1811
co Westmeath 1809

Also,there is a marriage for Thomas Heavey to a Mary in 1843 co Longford.You would have to get a copy of the cert to see if this is your Mary.If it turns out it is then I found the following births which relate to Thomas and Mary;

Elizabeth 1843 co Westmeath
Anne 1844 co Kildare
Michael 1845 co Longford
Mary 1850 co Longford

If this is your Thomas and Mary it is very likely they were moving around looking for food/work or maybe because of eviction as this was during the famine.Infant mortality was very high which probably resulted in these children dying before Thomas and Maria left Ireland.Hope this helps,Kim
