Dave, found a couple of things that may help.

1901 Irish census:
#4 Coolreaghbeg,Coolreagh,co Clare
Thomas Moloney head of house,age 52,Roman Catholic,born Clare,agricultural labourer
Mary Moloney wife,age 49,Roman Catholic,born Clare
Margaret Moloney daughter,age 20,Roman catholic,born Clare,domestic servant
John Moloney son,age 16,RC,born Clare,scholar
Thomas Moloney son,age 10,son,RC,born Clare,scholar

1911 Irish census:
#2 Coolreagh Beg,Coolreagh,co Clare
Thomas Moloney head of house,RC,born Clare,agricultural labourer,married
Mary Moloney wife,RC,born Clare,married 37 years,8 children born,6 children living
Thomas Moloney son,RC,born Clare,agricultural labourer,single

I found on 4 marriages for Thomas Moloney in co Clare.They are;
1876 Scarriff
1877 Ennis
Jan-March 1878 Kilrush
Jan-March 1881 Scarriff
The only thing is none list the bride's name.

I also found this marriage record of a marriage which took place in Feakle which could be the people you seek.

29 February 1876 Feakle parish
Thomas Molony and Mary O'Connor married
witnesses;James Hanrahan/Catherine McMahon
priest:Joseph Meade

If it turns out that the above are your family I also located 3 baptisms for this couples children which may be a few of the missing children.

Feakle RC parish baptism records:

24 Jan 1876 Michael
parents;Thomas Morony
Mary O'Connor
sponsors;Michael and Anne McMahon

9 April 1877 Mary
parents;Thomas Molony
Mary O'Connor
sponsor;Mary Molony

28 July 1878 Mary
parents;Thomas Molony
Mary O'Connor
sponsor;Bridget Molony

The problem at the moment is that co Clare records have yet to come online. If I come across anything else I will let you know.Hope this helps,Kim
