Thank you very much for the new information. I do have some of it. James Cloonin Ward, who was born in Ohio, was my husbands grandfather, and Martin Ward Sr. his great grandfather. I noticed the differences in the spelling of Cloonin. I remember hearing the names "Aunt Lizzie" who lived in Iowa, and my mother in law corresponded with her cousin Jess Ward. I had not seen the obituary. Seems most of the family were coal miners and married into coal mining families. It is my understanding that Martin Ward Sr. came to the USA in about 1848. I don't know if he married Anna Cloonin here or in Ireland before he came here. Would like to know where in Ireland and if he had any brothers or sisters that also immigrated. I thought they were all Catholic....maybe not? Any information is certainly appreciated. Charlotte Westhoff
