Kathleen, I just want to say thank you so much for your help. It means a lot to me and is very much appreciated.

It's a curious thing about William possibly having a second wife. Unless I have the wrong William Whitehead, I found this death certificate:

Name: William Whitehead
Death Date: 20 Sep 1905
Death Place: Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Gender: Male
Race: White
Death Age: 45 years
Estimated Birth Year: 1860
Birth Date:
Birthplace: Pa.
Marital Status: Married
Spouse's Name:
Father's Name:
Father's Birthplace: England
Mother's Name:
Mother's Birthplace: Ireland
Occupation:
Street Address:
Place of Residence: Philadelphia, Pa.
Cemetery:
Burial Place:
Burial Date: 23 Sep 1905
Additional Relatives:
Film Number: 1022641
Digital Folder Number: 4008684
Image Number: 213
Reference Number: cn 21702

That seems to match the information about him on the census records and would explain why Kathleen went to live with her aunt and uncle.

I've been in contact before with New Cathedral Cemetery for other burials, but I will have to call and ask if they can do just a simple surname search. I know the last time I called, they refused to tell me any information about specific people over the phone and instead sent me a form to fill out and explained that I had to pay for information. However it will be worth asking simply to check if there is anyone just bearing the surname O'Toole and see if after that, I can pay to get the specific individuals' information.

I haven't found any church affiliations to check on any baptismal certificates. I have to admit I don't really have any knowledge when it comes to discovering any religious connections. Do you know how I could find out if they attended any churches in Philadelphia?

Again, thank you so much for your help.
