Ryan Callahan 5/31/10
Philip O'Callaghan 1730 in Kilmacrenan m Mary O'Boyle dob 1745 in Kilmacrenan
Their children:
Patrick Callagha1766 m Sarah "Mullier"Doherty dob 1780
William Callaghan 1770 m Sarah Doherty(another one)
Francis Callaghan 1772 m Ellen Harkin dob 1782
Edward Callaghan
Philip OCallaghan
As you see the two (O'Callaghan/Callaghan were interchangeable even in same family--at least in my case)
Franics Callaghan jr dob 1816 m Mary Doherty 1825. He was I think born in Glenkeen, she in Carndonagh.
Their children were
Mary Callaghan 1844 m Con Bradley 1840(He was my great grandfathers brother--ggfather was Bernard Bradley 1838, and I believe they had a sister Moira(no inf on her)
Mary & Con had at least one son Neil(Neal)April 1864. I think there were other children as well though___would like to find them.
Mary's grandparents were Grancis 1772 & Ellen Harkin 1782
Con's family was Corneilus Bradley 1802 m Mary Dogherty 1811
both in Carndonagh. He died about 1853 Mary about 1861
Ellen Callaghan 1854 or so m Daniel McDaid 1852. Ellen was born in Glengannon I think. died in Co Donegal 1928. Danie was born in Church?????? Co Donegal died 1919 in Co Donegal.
Their children were
Edward McDaid
William
Jeremiah
Mary Ann
Margaret
John
Cecily
Lawrence
Hannah
Daniels parents were Edward McDaid and Margaret Canney,
Margarets parents were Neal Canney and Mary Logue
If anyone connects even remotely I may be able to help with decendents both in Ireland and in some cases in the Woburn, Winchester area of MA where some McDaids, McDevitts etc immigrated to--although I'm still trying to find out when.
Good Luck and thank you
Barbara
