Yes, "we" do have an ancestry tree going now on Jeremiah Murphy. There are several of us who have been working on proving that Jeremiah and wife Nancy are our ancestors. His son William Murphy born 1825 in Alabama is our line. On the Madison Co., AL genweb site, Jeremiah's naturalization papers are listed; however, there is no next of kin given, unfortunately. But, someone on ancestry has listed his sister as "Mary" born about 1808 in New York. It lists Mary's husbands...first a Thomas Dillon and 2nd a Creed L. Taylor. So, those are clues to follow up on as well. I'm thinking that the family did come in together. We are doing the DNA testing as well, right now...as we speak. There are estate papers that have been ordered. Also, the DNA site lady has sent us information, coming from Jeremiah's estate papers, proving that he is our line. It gives us his heirs etc. but there's nothing yet in these papers referring to his parents etc. But we've only begun this search. One generation at a time, right?

Question: When a family came in, will papers list each person arriving or just the head of a household? Do you know?

Thanks so much for your help.
