Hi Ralph: Thank you for your help : For James Dwyer B 1867 +/- 1 yr in Co. Tipperary with a father forenamed Jeremiah, I found 0 rcds : I think he might be born in the US (New York) (Reference Ancestry.com 1880 United States Federal Census under name DWYER: he was 13 at that time and the age and first names of wife, sister and brothers seem to fit in). The father Jeremiah would be born around 1845? Might have emigrated to the US (famine crisis in Ireland) and son James born 1867 New York as mentioned in Ancestry.com ? Returned to Ireland and baptised "19th July 1870 parish Anacarthy" according to remains of a baptism certificate ? I have part of a Baptism Record “…19th July 1870 James of Jeremiah DWYER & Bridgit MULCAHY. Sps.: Timothy DWYER & Bridget Corcoran-Mohorough(?) The above is a correct….. from the Baptismal Record…of this parish (ANACARTHY… William…. 18th…” For Cat(herine) Dwyer B 1873 ditto with a father forenamed Pat(rick), I found 3 rcds: 1872 Littleton CR, 1874 Cappagh CR, and 1874 Kilcommon-Hollyford RC. The town of Hollyford is near/in Kilcommon-Hollyford parish : YES remains of the Baptism certificate mentions “according to the Baptism Register of the Parish of Kilcommon, archdiocese of Cashel, l.d. of Patrick O’DWYER and Margaret TODD, residents of Gortmahonoge Hollyford, in said parish, was baptized on the 2nd of October, 1874, the sponsors being Denis O’DWYER AND Brigid O’DWYER. Signed : EMOND J. RYAN, PP”. I believe Catherine had a brother EDWARD (already in Chicago) who was her contact when she emigrated to NY-CHICAGO on 20-27TH November 1910 (boat : CELTIC) with her husband James DWYER and their first 5 children Mary, Jeremiah, Patrick, John & Thomas (Ellis Island ship database : name O DUYER – Hollyford same dates as in Ancestry.com but Catherine is referred to as KATE). Catherine also lived as a young woman in London I believe. For Jer(emiah) Dwyer B 1877 +/- 1 yr somewhere in Ireland with a father forenamed Pat(rick), I found 2 rcds in 1878: Cappagh (civil), and Kilcommon (church): NO- 2 named Jeremiah : 1/ born around 1830-1845 father of James (born 1867?BAPTISED 19th july 1870 parish Anacarthy according to remains of Baptism Certificate of his son James). 2/ born 1903 Hollyford Tipperary son of Catherine O'DWYER and JAMES DWYER Unless your Jeremiah is brother of James DWYER ? For Pat(rick) Dwyer M 1869 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Tipperary, I found 17 rcds with 4 in Kilcommon parish. For 1868, I found 1 rcd in Kilcommon (church) and Borrisoleigh (civil). Name is O’DWYER (mother side) married Margaret TODD and should be born at least 20 years before Catherine their daughter (baptised 1874) i.e. 1854 or between 1830-1854? 2 PATRICK KNOWN : 1/ should be born at least 20 years before his daughter Catherine (born 1874)i.e. 1854 ? Let's say 1830-1854 2/ Patrick born 1906 my uncle born Hollyford UNLESS unknown PATRICK DWYER (1869) is brother of JAMES DWYER? For Marg(arget) Todd M ditto, I found 2 rcds: 1868 Kilcommon (church), and 1868 Borrisoleigh (civil). This and the rcd for Patrick are highly likely to be for these ancestors. I have remains of baptism certificate of her daughter Catherine mentioning Kilcommon October 1874 and resident of Gortmahonoge (?)1868 mother of girl born 1874 ? unlikely she should be born around 1830-1854 For Bridget Mulcahy M 1862 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Tipperary, I found 4 rcds: 1858, 1863, 1864, and 1864-civil. ?? Son JAMES born in 1867 (New York ?) Baptised PARISH ANACARTHY July 1870 ? so Bridget MULCAHY would be born at least 20 years before i.e. 1830-47 would be more likely. Unless daughter of brothers and sisters For Jer(emiah) Dwyer M ditto, I found 2 rcds: 1860 and 1865. This is a NO match with the rcds for Bridget. It is unlikely that either set of rcds are for your ancestor. They may have married elsewhere, or Note 3 applies. ?? JEREMIAH Would also be born 1830-1847 (famine in Ireland 1845-1854)their son JAMES was baptised "parish Anacarthy 19th july 1870" (remains of a baptism Certificate) Thank you again for your help. It is greatly appreciated. When both parents are coming from foreign countries it is difficult to find out. Catherine Notify Administrator about this message?
