John, Peter Keegan was the schoolmaster in Killanne Village, in 1873 a Catherine Keegan aged 72 was buried in the local Church of Ireland (Protestant) graveyard. All Cof I records are at the R.C.B.Library, Dublin, check website, you are looking for Killanne Parish records. The Keegan's were not natives, a descendant called here one time she now lives in Cork. The name Godsell is a Cork county name, but I am not sure where the Keegan's originated, they are certainly not a local family, just came here to teach, they lived in the old schoolhouse next door to where I live, and my mother-in-law came there as a teacher many years later. Please get back to me again and I may have more information. This is the only Keegan burial here, I checked for you, so you need not check that again. This family were Protestant. Hope this helps, best wishes, Gloria Binions
