I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800.
For William Brohan (+36 variants) B ???? in all Ireland, I found 11 B rcds. Only the 2 earliest fit your time line: 1833 and 1839. One may, or may not, be for your ancestor. Your search parameters were woefully deficient.
Suggest you look at the Canadian censuses of 1851 & 1861 to estimate William's DOB. The census rcds will also reveal the spouse's forename and whether she was born in Ireland.
Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database.
Pls post your search results to my genforum msg.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
