I am searching my family tree and trying to locate the family of my great great grandfather, Bryan O'Connor who emigrated from county Kerry in about 1852. I have conflicting information about where he was born. A newspaper article says that he was born in county Kerry, in the parish of Murher, village of Newtown Sandes. however, a family source says the family moved there from another county. He is supposedly the only survivor of 15 children, a brother was supposedly hung by the British during the Famine. He came to the U.S and met and married his wife in 1858 in Fremont, OHIO Her name was Margaret O'Keefe/Keefe(unsure about if that name was changed. I have been to the Latter Day Saints church and found microfilm of the area but I wasn't able to locate the family. I don't know what info to believe, if I should start looking in other counties, etc. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? Any relatives out there. There were other O'Connors in the community where they lived that came before and after Bryan did. Don't know if they were relatives or not. i hope someone can help
