We are focusing our efforts now on viewing LDS microfilm within the next week or so to track down the parent's 1893 marriage certificate so we can calculate where they returned in Ireland from Scotland. Then we can look at parish registers for other children born after Denis's birth in 1903. Next after that we will look at the 1911 Census of Ireland records.
The family here does not know where in CA a Denis or Neil may have lived or if there was a sibling with another name. Annie did not say who all her siblings were and where they lived. I checked CA death records and found one Neil who died in 1981 in LA County but I have no way of connecting him. To avoid going down rabbit holes, we're focusing now on the LDS microfilm. We feel reasonably confident that we'll eventually connect the dots in Ireland. For the U.S., I'm going to do a physically search for Annie's naturalization papers at NARA in Phila. I've done the GenForum postings in hope that I may get lucky one day and someone will recognize the Annie story. I sincerely appreciate your interest and suggestions. Thanks!
