I am looking for the history of the McColley's from County Westmeath. My dad said that they still owned land there till the 1800s (this isn't verified) and that it was lost due to taxes. my 3rd great grandfather George McColley was born in 1793abt in Maryland, USA but his father or grandfather could have been the first of them to come over. I've not been able to find a McColley/McCauley on a ship record to find this out.
