G'Day Noel,
There is a very interesting birth record which can be found at the Latter Day Saints website at www.familysearch.org for an Elizabeth Cassidy, daughter of Samuel Cassidy and Mary Rutherford. According to the record, which is not documented, Elizabeth was born in County Cavan in 1827 and died in Adelaide on 21 September 1908. I notice from the ship's list for the Diadem found at http://www.slsa.sa.gov.au/fh/passengerlists/1840Diadem.htmhttp://www.slsa.sa.gov.au/fh/passengerlists/1840Diadem.htm that Samuel was the husband of Mary Rutherford.
Without source information, I can't say whether the birth entry for Elizabeth found at the LDS site is accurate or not.
In any event, your records show that a Samuel Cassidy was born in 1827. It's possible that your record or the record for Elizabeth could be off by a year or two.
Below is the record for the birth of Elizabeth:

______
Back in the 19th century the townland of Skeagh was in the Civil Parish of Knockbride. The Latter Day Saints have filmed the Catholic Church records for Knockbride, which commence in the year 1835.
If Samuel and Mary were living in Skeagh in 1835 or later, and if they belonged to the Roman Catholic Church, any of the children born in 1835 or later, may be listed in the church registers. Below is information and microfilm number for the Knockbride Catholic registers as found at the LDS site:
Parochial registers of Knockbride (Cavan), 1835-1860
Authors Catholic Church. Parish of Knockbride (Cavan) (Main Author)
Notes Microfilm of original manuscripts at the National Library of Ireland.
Some writing is faded and illegible.
The Catholic parish of Knockbride contains the civil parish of Knockbride.

_______
You can order microfilm number 926133 Item 3 from your local Family History Center.
You'll want to check the registers for the baptism of Samuel as well as for Elizabeth.
Because these registers also contain death records, you'll also want to see if there are any Cassidy deaths listed on the microfilm.
What makes me question the validity of the LDS record for Elizabeth is that she was not listed as one of the passengers with her family when they had arrived in Adelaide. Either the birth record is wrong, the passenger list incomplete, or it may be possible that Elizabeth sailed a later time with some family members.
Because the townland of Skeagh is only a few miles northwest of Bailieborough, it's possible that some of the Cassidy children were baptized in the larger town of Bailieborough.
The LDS have filmed the Killan Catholic Parish registers, which was the church that served the parishioners for the Civil Parish of Bailieborough. These registers commence in the year 1835. Please see information that follows:
Parochial registers of Killann (Cavan), 1835-1880
Authors Catholic Church. Parish of Killann (Cavan) (Main Author)
Notes Microfilm of original manuscripts at the National Library of Ireland, Dublin.
The Catholic parish of Killann, or Killan, includes the civil parishes of Bailieborough and Shercock. The modern postal name is Bailieboro.

______
You would order film number 926133 Item 2 to view these parish registers.
The LDS did not film the parish registers for the Church of Ireland in the Knockbride Civil Parish. These parish registers commence in the year 1825, according to a book by Brian Mitchell called "A Guide To Irish Parish Registers."
If the Cassidy ancestors belonged to the Church of Ireland, you will have to write to the parish priest for baptism records. Contact information for the Church of Ireland parish priest who serves the Knockbride as well as the Bailieborough parishes, is below:
The Revd A.J. Lindsay

I hope this information will be of some help.
Cheers Noel,
Dave Boylan
