Hi there
I also have relatives that left Monaghan for Boston. They did detour to Yorkshire for a few years, though.
OWEN WOODS and wife CATHERINE DUFFY and their family BRIDGET WOODS BURNS and her husband NICHOLAS BURNS and OWEN"S son PATRICK WOODS (my gg grandpa) b. 1858 abt
I have some info on their townland in Monaghan but it is very hard to get it. I checked the Griffiths valuation and found some OWEN WOODS but which one is the right one??????

If you have any hints for researching in the Carricmacross area and Donaghmoyne parish area -----please let me know.
