Malone, Connor, & Sayers -Co. Kerry
My Great Great Grandfather was William Malone born about 1825 at Rahinnane, Ventry, County Kerry. William's father according to Verbal history is John Malone and again according to Verbal history he married a girl with the last name Sayers/Sears. I have no other infomation on who she might have been.
I have found two known siblings of William that lived in the second house at Rahinnane when they got older and they were Margaret Malone born 1821 but never married and John Malone born abt. 1823 married Johanna BOWLER. One of their Grandsons named John married a Nora KAVANAUGH around 1915.
My Great Great Grandmother wife of William was Elizabeth CONNOR and she was from the house next door.
I'm looking for her parents and any of her siblings. Her father could be Batt, James, or John. James or John could be brothers also. In the Griffiths Valuation there is a Honoria listed also that could possibly be her mother.
Relying on verbal history again till proven. I've been told there were 17 Malone families in the Ventry area pior to the Potato Famine and 15 of those families left for the new world. The 1828 Tithe Applotment shows 6 Malone's paying the church a Tithe. The Church records from St. Mary's show a considerable amount of marriages and births for Malone's prior to the Potato Famine so it is possible that 17 families were there prior to the Famine
