Bee:
I'm beginning to wonder here?We have Ireland, Canada and Nebraska as common locations, and the Brennans were Roman Catholic and stonemasons by trade!
My GG-Grandma was born in Ireland in 1843, and her family came over in the late 1840s or the 1850s.It was a census record that first led us to Canada as the port of entry. We know she was married to Alexander Joseph Hill about 1860 in Wisconsin. His family had also come over from Ireland in the same time frame.
After Wisconsin, they went to Iowa for a few years before moving on to Nebraska.Interestingly, one of Alexander and Margaret's daughters married Charles E. Brennan in 1908; a cousin, no doubt!
