Dear Thomas, Gillian Flowers was born in Alabama. She had a brother named Jesse Flowers that lived in Sabine County too. I've never been able to locate either one in Alabama though. I noticed on the census that at one point, Nancy Jane and Francis were living with Minerva, and Gillian does'nt seem to be around anymore. Her brother Jesse married and stayed in Sabine County. Heres a thought, and it's just a thought: Kenedy Houghton had two sons names Jonathan and Malaki. I checked the census and there were two men by the same name in Chowan County, North Carolina. Both of them would be about the right age to be Kenedy's father. I'm just wondering if one might have been his father and the other possibly his uncle. Theres no way of knowing for sure, because on the early census records they did'nt have the wifes name or the childrens, but it just makes me wonder.
