Kia Ora Dave,
How many times can one say thank you at the risk of becoming boring? Well I'll take that chance and say a big thanks for your latest message particularly regarding the
mysterious Delia! I now know for certain that she was born in the USA and that she did reach adolescence(1891 census).
My grandfather, (Delia's father),died in 1906. I have traced his obituary from the local press at that time. His funeral was a big affair with police pall bearers and escort etc. All the daughters mentioned were present - except Delia. I am reminded of an old refrain "Who is Delia, where is she?.. However, thanks to you, I now have a great deal more info to work on. You have given a great boost to help reduce my growing frustration. One of the problems in working from this end of the globe is that fee paying enquiries are almost tripled due to the dollar exchange rate with the UK. So in addition, you have saved
me considerable expenditure...I guess that there is little more that you can do to assist me but consider myself fortunate to have found such generous assistance.
THANK YOU
Alan
