MacKeons

I would like to contact someone who is or has researched the MacKeons in Ireland.
Is there anyone who can help me? My ancestors came to the U.S.
in approx. 1819 and changed their name to Keown. I believe that they
were from Dublin, Ireland. It has been printed in some unofficial
family history that they were members of the Anglican church.
Excuse my ignorance but the latter seems very incorrect. Is there
anyone out there who can help?

Thanking you,
Shirley
