The James Annesley I am related to came from Ireland to Australia in 1819. Apparently he came from County Meath, born in 1801 and died on 13 June 1883 at Little Hartley New South Wales Australia.
He was described as being 5'2 1/2" tall, fair complexion, black hair and hazel eyes.
I must admit that he was sent to Australia as a convict for 7years after having been convicted for stealing 34 pounds 10 shillings and various other articles from his employer, James Myley. He arrived at Port Jackson Australia on the ship "Dorathy" on 19 sept 1820. His convict indent states that he was a servant aged 19 years, a native of County Meath, Ireland. He married Elizabeth Quinn (born in the colony) on 10 November 1833 at Bathurst New South Wales.

Whether or not he is related to you I have of course no idea but thought you may be interested.
