MISC. NOTES:
John Hinkson traveled to the Emerald Isle in 1763 to collect patrimony, marry Margaret McCracken, then stayed two years before returning with supplies for life in the wilderness of Penn. John was 34 years old, and the patrimoney meant that he had inherited some money or land from the death of an Irish male relative.
The Hinksons founded Ruddles Mills (a town) in Kentucky. They were captured by Indians and the French, then marched to Detroit. Becky has a 300 page history on that settlement.
I haven't sent anyone the 47 page history of Col. John Hinkson, Jr. frontiersman in Ky. yet.
