Culligan is not an uncommon Irish name. Many Culligans are from County Clare, My roots are in Co. Louth, and you say yours are from LOngford. Try posting in the www.ancestry.com under Ireland message boards, specifying Co. Longford. you may find something. Good luck. I found many first cousins here in the States and they connected me to 2nd and 3rd cousins in Ireland, on my grandma's side.
