Dear Ernin,
I am directly descended from the Donovans from County Cork, Ireland.I have had absolutely no luck trying to trace a certain Michael Donovan, born around 1832 to father John, mother possibly Catherine or Mary. Can you give me any suggestions?
I read your message to Aileen about the Donovan family name and I was impressed with your knowledge -- I saved it and send it to my father. He wants to meet The O'Donovan!
Can you steer me in the right direction as to how to find my Michael and John?I know those were common names for Donovans.Family legend says that Michael moved from Drimoleague Ireland to Wales in the 1850s.We found him in Wales, but can't find his birth in Ireland.
Thanks for any advice you can give me.
Regards,
Tricia Donovan
