My grandfather - Michael A. Flanigan - may have been born in County Clare. He emigrated to the United States around 1890. He died in October 1911 in Washington, DC. Since he died long before I was born in 1935, his Irish roots are not clear, but I seem to recall my grandmother (his wife - Bridget Greene Flanigan - who died in December 1944 in Washington, DC) mentioning County Clare as his home. Do we have a possible connection?
