Glad you mentioned this. The Family History Center is not open for research on a drop-in basis. Research is conducted by mail in order of receipt of inquiry. It takes weeks to search old records, sometimes not so long, but there is a waiting list. Showing up in person will not move your request to the top of the list.
This may work to your advantage. Maybe they can have it sent to you beforehand, so that you can make plans, and not lose a day going to Tullamore, Offaly.
