Thank you, Kate, for responding.Yes, Alice Boucher was one of Thomas' daughters.My great grandmother, Anna, is also in that database but the name was spelled differently: BOUCHIER.That record spelled her husband's name wrong also:BUCHNER instead of Buckner.
Thomas' family appears in the 1880 census for Grundy County, IL.A member of the LaSalle County Genealogy Guild found that record for me.I'm hoping to find them in the 1900 census.I don't know where he was married.Maybe in New York, his two oldest children were born there, but it's speculation so far as to when he immigrated.
Thomas and his wife are the only two Bouchers in the St. Mary's cemetery of Streator.I haven't found any Baptismal records yet.Do you know where I should write for that information?Is there a site that lists churches in that area?They were Roman Catholic.
