I am trying to find the ancestors of William Stubbs born 1757 in Meath, Ireland and Margaret Mary Read Stubbs. If you have any information on Stubbs’ in Ireland please email me at stubbscm@yahoo.com.

I have my line traced back to William Stubbs (William E. Stubbs?) who married Margaret Mary Read in a Catholic Church in Ireland. But I do not know exactly when. Margaret Stubbs died in the U.S.A. in 1813. William Stubbs may have owned a Woolen Goods store at 17 St. Frances Street in Dublin during the late 1700's.

William and Margaret Stubbs along with six children and a servant named Nancy Ross arrived at the Port of New York December 31, 1807. They traveled aboard the ship "Osage" landing in NY from Dublin, Ireland. Children were Edward b. 1785 in Dublin, Catherine b. 1790, Michael Stubbs b. 1792, Rose Ann Stubbs,b. 1789, Richard Stubbs and William Stubbs.

The following is data I have collect on Stubbs families and their relations that occurred in Ireland. I have grouped them by family when possible, but also have bits of data I have not yet been able to match with a line.
