Hi Everyone
I don't know if anyone can help me but I thought I would give it a go anyway. I have a convict ancestor by the name of Susan Roberts (this is her married name) she was living in Middlesex England when she was arrested for theft in 1801 I have the Old Bailey records (no mention of husband though). Sent here to NSW in 1803 onboard the Glatton

This Susan was born 1782/1783 in Mullingar so I'm hoping to find a marriage of a SUSAN ? to a ? ROBERTS. Assuming that they were married in Ireland of course. I've heard that some Irish girls use to marry English Soldiers but I don't know if this is in Ireland or England. She would have been quite young when she married so I'm hoping that I can find a marriage for her in Ireland.

Would there be any shipping records for them leaving (her and husband) Ireland/Westmeath??

It's been said that she left her husband behind in London when she was arrested in 1801

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Kind regards Dianna
