I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Cnty Meath rcds were just added.

For James Matthews B ????, Co. Meath, I found 106 B rcds.
For Peter Matthews B ????, ditto, I found 43 B rcds.
For Thomas Matthews B ????, ditto, I found 73 B rcds.

One or more of these MAY be for your ancestors. Co. Meath rcds are generally good after 1840. Get real or estimated DOBs to narrow your search range and reduce the number of false positives.

Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database.
Hope this helps. Best of luck. Pls post your search results to this genforum message.
