Hello Sean:Being as I found my cousin in this very forum thought I'd answer you and possibly help out.Our ancestors went from Balleycastle, Cnty May to Yorkshire, Eng. That was back in the days of the great famine (1845-47) The areas within Yorkshire were Northowram, Southowram, and Halifax where the majority lived.
They moved to England sometime between 1861 and 1864.At that time ('64)their first child was born in Halifax, Yorkshire.
Their names: Thomas Hanna (Hannan) m. Anne Barrett.Children: Bridget, Anne, Patrick, Sarah, Thomas, William.Eventually, Thomas died and Anne and some of her children moved to US about late 1880's.Settled first Philadelphia, then moved on to Lawrence, MA where she died in 1900.
Good luck with yourhunt. Don't lose faith.
