My great, great grandfather, Edward Nash gave his place of birth as Belmullet, Kilmore. Co. Mayo on his army papers. Born November 1833. He was a Catholic and joined the army as a private at Casltebar in October 1855. Could this be the Edward Nash you are talking about? Son of Anthony? I have been unable to trace any other Edward in the area. Pat Craig.
