Hi....and thanks very much for the research you just did to tell me these things. I will certainly go where you suggest,but the problem all along has been that I have none of the information I would need...no dates of birth,no parish,no parents' names,etc. Nothing.
This is why I am always hoping somebody will know ofANY Judge person who moved to Newfoundland before 1837....no idea how much before.....because the name is so rare in Newfoundland that it's almost certain that Judge person is my ancestor.
I do wish I had some information that I could use to trace in Irish records,scare as they are there,but sadly I don't.
I appreciate your finding the forenames too......but of course they are all standard Irish forenames. What I need to find in Ireland is a family in Ireland (or of course one elsewhere,USA etc.,but descended from Ireland) that has traditionally used the double forenames of Peter-Joseph, Joseph-Peter, Francis-Joseph,William-Patrick,and similar,plus Margaret in every generation for a few hundred years.
