I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of Irish counties. For Margaret Donahue M 1892 +/- 2 yrs in Co. Mayo, I found 1 M rcd in 1890 in Lowpark civil parish. However, I didn't find a corresponding M rcd for and unknown Maher in the same parish and same year. Therefore, Margaret's M rcd may be a false positive. For Margaret Donahue B rcd in Co. Mayo, this too would have been a civil registration. But, I couldn't find an M rcd in Co. Mayo. For Margaret Donahue M 1892 +/- 2 yrs in Co. Roscommon, I found 1 M rcd in 1891 in Ballinlough parish for a Margaret "McDonagh" (1 of 131 variants). For Margaret Donahue (+variants) B 1873 +/- 2 yrs in Co. Roscommon, I found 10 rcds (some may be civil duplicates), 2 were in Ballinlough: 1971 & 1873. For unknown Maher M 1892 +/- 2 yrs in Co. Roscommon, I found 2 M rcds for a Patrick Maher in 1891, but both in Ballaghadreen, not Ballinlough. This may be due to an IFHF transcription error. B/M/D registration was civil and mandatory after 1864. You can get copies of the M registration rcds from the General Register Office at http://www.groireland.ie. You might want to try both of the Margaret M rcds just to see who the groom was. Google the Foundation's name to lead you to the database. Pls post a reply to my Genforum msg to tell me your search results. Notify Administrator about this message?
