I did find my great great grandfather's birth record (1877) and then his parents marriage certificate (1868) and a few other records. I have found other records of birth (2 exactly) that COULD be my great, great, grandfather. Geographically the logic is there ... it's almost impossible to say that one is right over the other.. a few years difference, same name of fathers. I feel like I should be thankful I've gone back so far. I am wondering if you happen to know of a history of the McGuinness' of Armagh and Louth? All I read of is mainly the ones that descend directly from the Lord of Iveagh. I know there are other arms of that family that haven't been documented as well... or maybe they have? There has to be some history that will lead me to something! right? :) thanks for your reply!
