Thanks for the pointer. I am a little unsure what I am getting if I don't specify a parish. Do you know if the Louth County library has records for both Catholic and Protestant churches. The Parish dropdown appears to be all RC and if specified will display the parish in the result, if the same search is used without specifying a parish the result comes back without the parish being displayed. Will that be the same record or a different one? I suspect the same record.
At 5 quid a record at the current NZ dollar exchange this could get expensive chasing the wrong records. I am not sure even if they were RC or protestant as they do not appear to be RC here, although there is a story that Peter and Alice eloped because one or other of them was RC which I don't know.
