Groom: James Emerson, Bachelor. Birthplace: Cullen,County Louth, Ireland. [sic] Occupation: Laborer. Age: 25. Usual Residence: Hallimbibby.* Father: Henry Emerson, Occupation: Carpenter. Mother: Jane McEntire. Bride: Louisa Callaway, Spinster. Birthplace: Wiltshire, England. Age: 17. Usual Residence: Hallimbibby.* Father: James(sic)Callaway,* Occupation: Laborer. Mother: Ann Maria Philpot. Comments on certificate: Stephen(sic)Callaway,of Braidwood*, gave concent to the marriage of his daughter, she being under the age of 21. *Delegate is a country town in southern NSW. Australia. *Hallimbibby, unsure but I believe this may be the name of a 'Station' as in sheep or cattle as I have not been able to find any other reference to it as yet. It was common practice for people to live & work on these 'Stations'. *Stephen James Callaway. *Braidwood is a country town in southern NSW. Australia. Also this brief from Assisted Immigrants Arrive Sydney & Newcastle 1844-1859: Callaway Louisa - Age 14yrs.- & family - Vessel Switzerland - 1858. From Port of Liverpool UK Arrive Sydney 13th April 1858. Family: Stephen Callaway, Age: 45, Ann Callaway, Age: 42, Emma Callaway, Age: 12.
