I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of Irish counties. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse.

For a Patrick & Mary marriage, I found corresponding M rcds in Togher parish, Louth, in 1839. A view of the M rcds SHOULD show the names of their parents' names.

For Mary Verdon, B 1817 +/- 3 yrs, I found 2 B rcds in 1815. For Patrick Savage, B 1815 +/- 4 yrs, I found 0 B rcds in this range and a wider one. The event may not have been rcd'd, or the rcd lost.

Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database.
