Please see the following post for more information.

I am trying to find any details about Martin Hannan/Hannon who came to NY in 1830 from County Cavan or County Longford Ireland. He married Ellen O'Rourke who came to NY from County Cavan in 1832. Martin and Ellen eventually settled in Johnstown, PA.

Martin may have been from Mullahoran, in County Cavan. However, his family history says he was born in County Longford. The only records we found of a Martin were from County Cavan and his mother was a widow at that time. I think there were close relatives of his in the Granard area and he may have even been born in that area. I am also interested in the Hannan's that lived in Mullahoran (county Cavan) until the early 1900s. (I think they too were relatives of Martin.)

Ellen was from Aghagolrick, near Stradone (County Cavan). I am also interested in any O'Rourkes in that area who may be related.
