I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 11,500,000 surviving rcds for abt 60% of Irish counties. Co. Longford rcds are in it. Rcds B4 11840 are sparse.

In the "sources" tab for this database, only 3 of 18 parishes show starting dates for rcds earlier than 1820. Suggest you google the Foundation's name and search to see if birth or marriage rcds for these ancestors exist. The M rcds are most likely to have been rcd'd and survived.

For Joseph, rcds from the quarantine station at Grosse Isle exist. I believe they only rcd'd the names of those who died, not the ones who got well. Also, the flood of Famine refugees overwhelmed the station; many passengers, ill or not, were allowed to proceed up the St. Lawrence to Montreal/Sorel without stopping at Grosse Isle. Death rcds MAY exist there, but this is unlikely.
