Hello! My wife's gr.gr.gr. grandfather was PATRICK O'FARRELL, who was born in or about 1793 in County Longford, Ireland. In 1819, he immigrated to the U. S. and settled in Newberry County, South Carolina. He married about the year 1829 to PHILADELPHIA COPPOCK (a Quaker girl). Patrick died in the S.C. in 1851 and his wife died in 1855. Their children were:
1. Thomas O'Farrell, born 1830.
2. John O'Farrell, born 1832.
3. Mary O'Farrell, born 1834.
4. Hester O'Farrell, born 1836.
5. Frances O'Farrell, born 1839.
6. James B. O'Farrell, born 1842.
7. Josephine O'Farrell, born 1844.
8. Hannah C. O'Farrell, born 1845.
9. Adella O'Farrell, born 1851.
My wife's gr. gr. grandmother was Patrick's daughter, Hannah, who married Walter W. Smith. Hannah died here in Alabama in 1923. Am hoping that some reader might know who Patrick O'Farrell's parents were. Many thanks!
