Hello Will:

I research the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,700,000 surviving rcds for abt 70% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800. Co. Derry rcds were just added to the database today.

For John Hegarty B 1864 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Derry, with a father forenamed George, I found 2 rcds in 1864, one church (Coleraine RD), and the other civil (Aghadowey parish).

For Cat(herine) Hegarty B 1860 ditto, I found 0 rcds. The closest was one in 1849, Coleraine RC parish.

For Henry Hegarty B 1847 ditto, I found 1 rcd in 1847, Coleraine RC parish.

For George Hegarty M 1843 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Derry, I found 0 rcds. Note - Coleraine RC M rcds don't begin until 1864.

For Rose Mullen B 1825 ditto, with the father's forename unknown, I found 1 rcd in 1829, Faughanvale CI parish. Since the children's B rcds are RC, it is less likely that this rcd is related to the family.

For George Hegarty B 1817 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Derry, I found 0 rcds. The earliest B rcds for Co. Derry are in 1773 in only 1 parish. The next earliest are in 1823.

Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
