Hello Scott: I research the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800. Note 1 - Without a KNOWN county, the chance of an ancestor's rcds NOT being in this database is AT LEAST 35%. Note 2 - Only 1/2 of Co. Cork's rcds are in this database. Note 3 - The RC church kept control over most parish rcds from Tipperary (north). These are ONLY available thru the Tipperary Family History Research center at a substantial fee (regardless of outcome). For John Conway B 1865 (exact) somewhere in Ireland with a father forenamed William, I found 1 rcd in Co. Limerick. For Cat(herine) Conway B 1860 ditto, I found ditto. For William Conway M 1859 (exact) somewhere in Ireland, I found 1 rcd in Limerick. For Mary Casey M ditto, I found 2 rcds in Limerick. The above results are highly likely to be for your ancestors. A view of the detailed rcds should confirm this. For Stephen Casey B 1839 (exact), Co. Limerick, with a father forenamed James, I found 1 rcd. However, it is in Ballingarry parish. For Bridget Casey B 1842 ditto, I found 1 rcd in Croagh parish. This matches your criteria perfectly. It is highly likely for your ancestor. For James Casey M 1835 +/- 4 yrs in Co. Limerick, I found 18 rcds. For Cat(herine) Flaherty M ditto, I found 4 rcds: 1832, 2-1833, and 1835. Parishes were 1835 Croom, 1833 Parteen & Meelick, 1832 St. John's, and 1833 St. Mary's. However, none of these match with the rcds for James. Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg. Hope this helps. Good luck. Notify Administrator about this message?
