I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds B4 1840 are sparse.
The surname Collopy is fairly well represented in Ireland with 930 B rcds, of which 870 are in Limerick. There should be many with that surname in Ireland now.
For Ellen Collopy M 1862 (exact) in Limerick, I found 1 M rcd.
For Patrick Gubbins M ditto, I found 1 M rcd.
These are likely for your ancestors. A view of the detailed M rcds should show whether the marriage was to each other. It MAY also show their parents' names, etc.
Google the Foundation's name to lead you to the database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to this genforum msg.
Good luck.
