No RC parish records for Abbeyfeale,before 1829.If Alfred was member of another church I can't see any available records for area on site www.rootsireland.ie.They have computerised all existing records and I see no Alfred born to an Edmond anywhere in Limerick.If involved with army it's possible he was baptised by army chaplain.
