Hi Lynn:

I research the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,700,000 surviving rcds for abt 70% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800.

Note 1 - Without a KNOWN county, the chance of an ancestor's rcds NOT being in this database is AT LEAST 30%.

Note 2 - Only 1/2 of Co. Cork's rcds are in this database.

Note 3 - The RC church kept control over most parish rcds from Tipperary (north). These are ONLY available thru the Tipperary Family History Research center at a substantial fee (regardless of outcome).

For ELLEN McKeon B 1908 (exact), Co. Leitrim, with a father forenamed Pat(rick), I found 1 rcd, in Mohill civil district.

For Mic(hael) Comer B ???? Ballyhaunis CP, Co. Mayo, with a father forenamed Mic(hael), I found 2 rcds: 1875 and 1987. The 1897 date is the more likely.

For Pat(rick) McKeon M 1903 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Leitrim, I found 5 rcds: 1902, 1904, 1905, and 2-1906.

For Susan Canning M ditto, I found 0 rcds either in Co. Leitrim, or in all other counties included in the current database.

For Michael Comer M 1993 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Mayo, I found 2 rcds: 1893, and 1897, both in Ballyhaunis civil district.

For Delia Kileen M ditto, I found 0 rcds anywhere in Ireland. This is a NO match.

For Pat(rick) McKeon M 1904 +/- 4 yrs, somewhere in Ireland, with a father forenamed , I found 1 rcd in

Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
