Hi Katie,
I have some HEALYs b. in Co. Leitrim: Michael, John?, Daniel (my ggrandfather), Thomas and Mary, and Patrick, who stayed in Ireland when the rest emigrated to New Haven, Connecticut, USA.
I do not know exactly where in Leitrim they were from - have narrowed it down to 4-5 places but no confirmation yet. Michael, his wife, Bridget McLo(a)ughlin and young son, Patrick, were in New Haven by 1842, by the age of their next child who was born in Connecticut in 1843. There may have been other HEALYs who came with Michael at the same time but I have no names at this time. Do believe that FOX was also born in the same area, since the FOXs lived near the HEALYs in New Haven and a son married a HEALY. I have other information about the HEALYs in New Haven, Connecticut - and a little about McLA(O)UGHLIN as well - a brother possibly joined them by mid 1850s. Looking forward to hearing from you.
