I found entries for my greatgreat grandparents in the 1860 us census, It has their birth place as "leit..." Well I can't read the handwriting so I was wondering if it could be Leitrim in Ireland? If so is it possible to find marriage and birth records for the 1840-1860 from there?

Any help would be apprecieated.

rhonda
