Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I don't know if this is of any use to you, but John McPaden (my ggfather): was born in 1832 in Tullynascreen, Co. Leitrim.
Sponsors: Owen Flynn and Catherine Guilday

He and his sister worked in Lowell, MA (while owning a farm north of Toronto, Ontario). My notes on the 1870 census for Lowell say there were Gildays living nearby at 78 Middle St.

There were also McPaddens in Bridgeport, CT, but I haven't established a connection to them yet.
