Any connection here?
At this point I can only trace my Fitzpatrick ancestors back to " the widow Fitzpatrick" who came to America in the 1830-1840 with her six children: John, James, Peter,Anne,Ellen, and Margaret. James my gg-grandfather was born May 27, 1815, in Castletown, Queens Co ( now County Laois), just a few miles southwest of Dublin. The family first settled in Vermont near Lake Champlain. Possibly in Plattsbugh,NY?? John, who was James's older brother , is said to have had ten children. Whether they were all born in Ireland is unknown at this time.John and his family moved to Wisconsin. Do not know if all his children moved with him.
Anne married a (Keane, Keene,Keen) and remained in Rutland, VT. in the Green Mountains.Peter moved to New Jersey. James moved to Woodford County Kentucky ( Versailles) and married a Sarah Vaentine, and later moved here to Decatur Macon County Illinois in 1856.The rest of the family moved to Sandusky, Ohio.Ellen married a Bradley, and Margaret married a Larkin in Vermont, and later, a Thomas Smith in Ohio.Margaret had at least four sons, Jim, Dan and John, and possibly Gregory.
I am looking for any connection to any of these families from anyone who may be able to help.
